It comes with an extra strand inside infused with wax making an easily ignitable tinder. 550 paracarod is a staple in any bushcraft or survival kit take it one step further and carry the firestarting cordage. Would be an excellent addition to any pack for hiking, camping, or a bug out bag. It’s readily available and most outdoor stores.
