Ithaca 37 Defense 12 Gauge | Better Than A Modern 870

First range report on my new-to-me Ithaca 37 Defense 12 gauge shotgun. This is the 20 inch barrel variant with a 7+1 capacity. This is very similar to the gun used by Kyle Reese in the original Terminator film. The model 37 is a bottom eject shotgun so you do lose the ability to combat load. The action, however, is noticeably nicer and smoother than current production, Remington 870s. I had recently purchased a new production Remington, which, unfortunately turned out to be a mistake. The week ejection was something I just could not get over and so I traded it toward this Ithaca. I have fired 50 shells of various loads so far, to include cheap Winchester bird shot with zero malfunctions. So far I’m much more impressed with this gun over the Remington. #Ithaca #12gauge #shotgun
