I start by rolling spreading pencil shavings on the lint, then roll it up and stuff it in the cardboard tube. After the wax is melted the tube gets dipped on one end and set with that end down on some wax or parchment paper until it cools. It may take several tries to get it completely sealed. Once sealed, flip the tube over and pour a cap full of cooking oil in the center, then seal the open end with wax.
Lint Tinder Tubes made this way will burn for 30+ minutes.
