Since I have declared war on my coupon butt, hubby prepper and I have started taking close combat self defense classes. The style we are learning is called Krav Maga. It is a fighting style developed by the Israeli military. Interestingly enough many other miltary and governmental agencies also train their people in Krav Maga such as the CIA, FBI etc. If you are a fan of the show Nikita, she uses a lot of Krav in her fighting style. OK, I am not Nikita but I would like to learn some of those moves because you never know when something can happen or the SHTF and it is always better to be as prepared as possible. Protect yourselves, be safe, stay alert and aware of your surroundings always.
So please share your thoughts, do you do or are you curious about learning any self defense techniques? Do you think you are too old or too weak to defend yourself in hand to hand close combat? I have only been in one fight in my life when I was 15 years old. I was mince meat after it was done. But I learned a valuable lesson – it is smart to knwo how to defend one’s self. It has taken me a long time to getting around to taking some self defense classes but better late than never. I have always wanted to do this! It’s great exercise too! can feel the M&M’s dissolving in my body 😉
